Sean Sobel founded Sobel, Wade & Mapley with one goal in mind, helping individuals who have been treated unfairly at work. Sean has extensive experience representing clients who have been subjected to discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation and wage/overtime violations at work. Sean also stands up for the civil rights of individuals with disabilities who have been discriminated against in public accommodations such as hospitals.
In addition, Sean has completed extensive training and certification in the policies and procedures of Title IX and serves as a Title IX Advisor for public and private colleges and universities across the country.
Sean has worked tirelessly throughout his legal career building a reputation as a zealous advocate for his clients. To that end, Sean was recognized by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star in each of the last eleven years and received the Client Satisfaction Award in 2016 by American Institute of Legal Counsel: Labor and Employment Division. He is also a 2019 graduate of the Ohio State Bar Association Leadership Academy, a five-month program that prepares lawyers across the state of Ohio for effective leadership in the OSBA, profession, and community.
Sean graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Peter C. Economus at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He also worked at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C.
