Wade Mapley is a Cleveland-based employment and civil rights partnership built on the belief that every client deserves individualized, principled, and relentless representation.
At Wade Mapley, we don't just take cases — we take problems. Whether you're an employee whose rights have been violated or an employer navigating a complex dispute, we treat every matter with the same care and intensity we would give to our own.
We are a deliberately small firm. That means your case receives the attention it deserves — from a member, every time. We don't hand matters off. We don't disappear after the retainer is signed. We are in your corner from day one through resolution.
Our attorneys have been admitted to practice in Ohio, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and multiple federal district courts, giving us the reach to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional matters with confidence.
We focus on a select set of practice areas so we can do each one exceptionally well. No generalists. No dabblers.
We represent both employees and employers in disputes involving discrimination based on race, sex, age, disability, national origin, religion, and other protected characteristics under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, and Ohio law.
Federal and state civil rights cases including § 1983 claims, First Amendment retaliation, due process violations, and other constitutional claims. We are experienced in multi-defendant public entity litigation.
Defense and enforcement of non-compete agreements, non-solicitation clauses, trade secret misappropriation under the DTSA and Ohio law, and other restrictive covenant proceedings.
We serve as counsel to private and public employers — advising on policy, compliance, employee discipline and separation, and the defense of EEOC charges and other administrative actions.
Claims involving unlawful discharge, including retaliation, whistleblower protections under Ohio and federal law, and breach of employment contracts or implied promises.
FLSA and Ohio wage law claims involving unpaid overtime, misclassification, minimum wage violations, and collective action matters on behalf of employees or in defense of employers.
